The Energy Tax Bill is dead and the environmental activist writer at the Charleston Gazette Ken Ward is mourning. It’s safe to say that he can go back to trying to put the chemical industry out of business in the Kanawha Valley.
“The facts on the climate change legislation are far different from what most West Virginians have been led to believe by folks like Sen. Rockefeller, who repeatedly suggests a cap on carbon emissions would “turn the lights out on America.” – Ken Ward, Environmental Activist, Anti-Jobs Journalist, Charleston Gazette, July 23, 2010
This is dedicated to you, Ken…

If it’s a bad day for Junior, it’s a good day for me.
Ken Ward has his eye on a large environmental award such as the one recieved by Marie Gunnoe. He will do / say anything to put him out ahead of the “Green Pack ie Jeff Biggers, Huffington Post” fame to cinch the cash! what a maroon!
Yes it’s all a conspiracy to destroy capitalism or get grant money or get an award – certainly can’t have anything to do with preserving the environment for our grandchildren.
Crystal,
Maybe it’s about pushing a left-wing agenda while pretending to be a news reporter. If he wants to “preserve the environment for our grandchildren” he should give up the pretense of journalism.
Just the facts, ma’am.
Seriously, who is really “anti-jobs”? What a joke.
Who is anti jobs? Ken Ward, that’s who… And not just coal, he’s been nailing the coffin shut on the chemical valley too.
Now, Charlie, let’s be fair….Ken isn’t anti-jobs, he’s just anti-jobs-he-doesn’t-like. He has no problem with people working, as long as he has given his stamp of approval to the industry in question.
I suspect Ken is a card carrying member of The Ohio Valley Environmental Coalition. Talk about being fair??? He’s in it for the money, and is in a competition w/ Jeff Biggers, enviro from the Huffington Post for a piece of the pie!
As someone who competes with — and occasionally becomes irritated by — by Ken Ward, allow me to weigh in. He’s one of the most thorough, careful and, when the moment demands, fearless reporters in your state. No doubt there are those who hate him because he raises unpleasant or disagreeable issues. That, folks, is how problems are solved. Trashing him won’t make the questions go away. And if Ken Ward Jr. goes away, it just means a lot of people will be out of work, scratching their heads and wondering why nobody gave them a heads up on the problems they needed to address.
What problems, Mr. Roddy? You mean the ones trumped up by the envirokooks that Junior is so willing to “report” on with his obvious bias?
Since you refer to “your state”, you obviously don’t live here. Pay attention to matters in your own backyard before you stick your nose into ours.
