Electing Mike Stuart is just the beginning of a bright future for the Republican Party in West Virginia.
We will all be fine as we move the party forward. Trials only make us stronger.
I would ask that we be respectful and kind in our
posts toward Sue and Doug McKinney. They’ve done a lot of work for the party and we should keep that in mind.
Now it is time for a new chapter in our book!
Thank you,
Melody
AMEN MELODY
Sorry but I can not be so respectful and kind toward the immediate past Executive Director. His comments in this mornings paper were way out of line and smelled of Sour Grapes.
Sue McKinney reacted like the lady she is. God Bless.
Ahhh, only 24 hours later and revisionist history begins. Yep, we know is wearing the bullseye now!
Congratulations Mike Stuart and Team Mike….it’s your responsibility now.
Chairman McKinney accomplished a great deal in his term of office and I hope now that the rancor has past that he will get his due. Now that this is past, I hope that all good Republicans can unite together and do our job, getting Republicans elected this fall. Our state and country need our help.
I agree we owe thanks and respect to doug and sue mckinney for their support. God bless them both!
Congrats to Mike Stuart! And thanks to Doug and Sue for the job they both did over the last 4 years…the party is on better financial footing thanks to their hard work.
I would like to commend both Dr. Doug McKinney and Sue McKinney for their efforts on behalf of the Republican Party in West Virginia.
As we look towards the future of West Virginia and the Republican Party….we will all need to come together, put our shoulder to the wheel and work in tandem to elect Republicans across this the great State of West Virginia.
We have a rich history in the Republican Party…we are the party of the people, for the people and because of the people. Our very foundation is built on the love of the American way which can be summed up in our life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. We hold dear family values and the very tenants of faith which we first learned as children at the knees of our parents.
Yes, we have a daunting task ahead of us in the Republican Party, but I do not believe that any of us felt that it would not be. I believe that the people that I have worked with for over a year and a half are some of the best qualified people who bring so much to the table. We found something quite unique about each other….it really did not matter who got the credit….just that the goals were achieved. We are vastly aware that each of us and those around us have abilities and talents that I and/or you might not have. That is okay Folks, just think of the never ending pool of talent we have throughout the State of West Virginia – just waiting to step up to the plate and swing that bat.
Yes, I do believe that it is a good day in West Virginia to be a Republican!
Stuart has quite a mandate. Wonder what condition the books are in. I understand no finance report was given by McKinney before he left.
I have all the confidence in Team Stuart!
Muze,
No financial report was offered at the meeting. In fact, most of the McKinney supports high-tailed it out of there without waiting for the meeting conclusion. Bob Fish couldn’t leave quickly enough after handing off the gavel — so much for unity and magnanimity; Mike certainly could have used the assistance getting through the remainder of the meeting.
I especially liked Joe Garcia’s “privileged motion” just prior to the vote, calling for unity from the County Chairs regardless of who wins. Garcia delivered his little address while wearing a Doug McKinney sticker, it should be noted. So let’s just see if money and mouth will be in harmony on that one.
And speaking of motions, why on earth would anyone think it would be a good idea to close the portion of the meeting where the vote took place to all but “Registered Republicans”? Why would a former member of the U.S. House of Representatives suggest such an affront to decency and transparency? I’m quite surprised there hasn’t been more of a stir following that.
Ya get the feeling that Dr. Doug isn’t going to like having Sue under foot, now that she doesn’t have the WVGOP to play with?
