Thumbs Up:
West Virginia Conservative Foundation, West Liberty Economic Club, West Virginia Mountaineers, Shelley Moore Capito, Melody Potter, Mike Stuart, Rob Cornelius, Troy Andes, Steve Walker, Truman Chafin, Kevin Craig, and everyone that showed up at the Corp hearings in Charleston, especially our conservative Democrat friends.
Thumbs Down:
West Virginia Republican Party, Ken Ward, Nick Rahall, environmental terrorists, and the Marshall fans who talk shit and will be sulking when they get their tails beat tomorrow.
Liz Raese does not run for Congress in WV-1 opting for the sunny shores of Palm Beach instead of the muddy waters of the Potomac.
Nick Rahall gets a primary and general election challenged from a sitting or past Democrat and or Republican who has served or is serving in Charleston now.
Mike Ankrom from Cabell County contemplating a run for West Virginia Republican Party Chair next year.
The Mountaineers, our state team, will win by three touchdowns tomorrow in the Friends of Joe Bowl.
Thumbs Up:
Earl Ray Tomblin, Speaker of the House Rick Thompson, Logan County Commissoners, Mingo County Commissioners, Delegate Steve Kominar, and Mingo County Young Democrat President Justin Marcum for standing up for coal.
Thumbs Down:
Marshall
It would also be nice to see the coal industry get some positive spotlight during the game considering it is the Friends of Coal Bowl. Lastly, ask yourself this…will any environmentalist be there cheering with either team? I would bet that they will be. I find that hiliarious.
Support coal jobs! Our national leaders need to wake up, realize, and start getting angry about this and do something.
Where has the state party leadership been during this coal debate? “Conservative” Democrats everywhere are standing up against the EPA and the Obama administration, but not one peep out the WV GOP or our Republican elected officials.
Democratic Delegates and Senators showed up at the Charleston Army Corps of Engineers hearing. Would it have been so difficult for Delegate Tim Armstead to do the same? People wonder why nobody supports the party – I give you exhibit a. If they aren’t going to do a damn thing, why would you ever give them any money.
The Dems are hitting this head on with minimal resistance from sites like wvablue but there are no GOP or Republican elected officals doing much. Check out the http://www.supportwvcoal.com site which was started by another Southern, WV democrat. That site is in support of coal and taking online signatures for a petition.
Troy Berman is not from WV and doesn’t quite understand why the WVGOP should be fighting for coal. Either that or he has already checked out… Come to think of it, his SUV wasn’t at the HQ yesterday.
The WV GOP is MIA.
The coal industry and coal miners need your support. The WV GOP should be at at the forefront of this fight for our economy and jobs. The coal miners and their families are at a crossroads. Their futures depend on the decision of the Corp of Engineers and the Federal EPA.
Please, be courageous and take a stand. The WV GOP should be 100% in support of coal. Please, show the miners that we are with them in their struggle to keep food on the table and lights on in the U.S.
WV GOP gets an F in my grade book.
Most of you out there know I generally support the WVGOP, I do however have to agree with you all on this, especially since it was in Charleston & many of the GOP leaders were in town.
GOD BLESS
Not only were most GOP leaders in town, Buddy…they were half a block away at the Charleston Marriott!!
Once they got to the Chop House, they were two-thirds of the way to the Civic Center…
Anybody else receive a fund raising call this week from WV GOP?
Are professional fund raisers the latest hire? If so, the expenditure column just keep growing. Chi ching!!!!
