Oliverio: Congressman Mollohan’s Approval Rating at 40%

According to a story in the Wheeling Intelligencer on Sunday, State Senator Mike Oliverio says a poll of 600 likely Democratic primary voters he conducted in WV-01 shows Congressman Alan Mollohan with a lower approval rating than President Barack Obama.

Mollohan, Rahall Possible Vote Switches on Health Care

In a memo yesterday, Republican Whip Eric Cantors lays out the prospects that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi does not have the votes to pass any additional health care reforms which may result from today’s health care reform summit through the budgetary reconciliation process.

Cantor lists Congressman Alan Mollohan and Congressman Nick Rahall in a list of six members that might switch their previous YES votes on health care reform to NO votes citing difficult re-election races this year.

It’s no wonder union membership is on the decline. The organization supports candidates who call coal a “dirty energy” source and do very little to stand up to a rogue EPA. Wonder if they endorse Lisa Jackson also?

Facing Re-Election Battle, Rahall Changes Tune on EPA

Congressman Nick Rahall is changing his tune on the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as he realizes this will likely be the toughest re-election campaign ever for him.
