Mike Stuart, President of the West Virginia Conservative Foundation, was elected as Chairman of the West Virginia Republican Party at its summer meeting in Morgantown, West Virginia yesterday. Republicans voted by an overwhelming 62% to 38% margin to elevate Stuart over incumbent Chairman Doug McKinney.

The Little Theatre at the Charleston Civic Center will seat 738 people. The Little Theatre is full and coal supporters spilled out into the area in front of the Charleston Civic Center. Pro-coal supporters greatly outnumbered the anti-coal representatives.
